Details & Synopsis
Naruto Uzumaki was born on the night the Fourth Hokage sealed the Nine-Tailed Fox inside him to save the village. The village watched the demon go in. It forgot to tell the child what it had done to him. What followed was twelve years of a boy growing up knowing he was hated and not knowing why, loud, relentless, failing every test, eating ramen alone, until the day he graduated dead last from the Academy and became a ninja anyway through sheer refusal to stay down.
That is the premise. What the series becomes is something larger.
Naruto ran for 220 episodes on TV Tokyo from 2002 to 2007, produced by Studio Pierrot from Masashi Kishimoto's manga. The Chunin Exam arc is one of the great tournament sequences in shonen history. Naruto vs. Neji is a thesis statement about fate and effort that the show earns through fifty episodes of buildup before it delivers. The Sasuke Retrieval arc ends on failure, the hero does not get his friend back, does not keep his promise, is found in the dirt by Kakashi while Sasuke walks away, and that failure is the most radical thing a shonen series had done to its protagonist in years.
In the West, Cartoon Network aired a version. That version was not this. The broadcast cut removed blood, altered dialogue, and softened the things the show was specifically built around. The fansub community knew it immediately. ANBU-AonE, the result of a merger between two of the era's most respected groups, became the definitive answer. Their karaoke openings. Their translation fidelity. The weekly releases that IRC rooms and BitTorrent trackers distributed before streaming existed as a concept. Before Crunchyroll. Before legal alternatives. Before anyone in the industry believed Western audiences would watch anime subtitled in volume.
This archive holds the complete ANBU-AonE fansub run, all 220 episodes, the version the community actually watched, the version that built the Western Naruto fandom from the ground up. Not the broadcast. Not the remaster. The original release, as it was distributed, as it was intended.
This is provenance. This is the record.

Bloodlines & Forbidden Arts

What a bloodline limit is

Kekkei Genkai are genetic anomalies passed down through specific bloodlines. They cannot be copied by a Sharingan and cannot be learned by standard shinobi. Either you inherited it, or you are watching someone who did. Advanced elemental fusions (below) are the same rule applied to nature itself.

The Sharingan (Copy Wheel Eye)

Uchiha Clan

Activation is triggered by severe emotional trauma - grief or desperate love - releasing a special chakra from the brain to the optic nerve. One-tomoe through three-tomoe unlocks high-speed motion tracking, copying ninjutsu / taijutsu / genjutsu on sight, and seeing chakra flow through the body. The Mangekyo is the next floor - and it always costs the eyes. See the ability matrix below for what each user actually gets.

The Byakugan (All-Seeing Eye)

Hyuga Clan

Near-360 degree telescopic and X-ray vision extending kilometers out. Sees the entire Chakra Pathway System down to the 361 minute pressure points (tenketsu). Combat synergy is the Gentle Fist (Juken) - injecting chakra directly into an opponent's tenketsu to shut down organs and chakra flow without needing raw physical force. Soft-looking. Absolutely not soft.

When natures combine

When a ninja combines two or more elemental nature transformations simultaneously inside their body, they create brand-new elements that cannot be learned through standard training. Two natures is Kekkei Genkai. Three is Kekkei Tota - and almost nobody gets that far.

Ice (Hyoton)

Water + Wind
Yuki Clan (Haku). Freezes atmospheric moisture instantly. Signature art: Demonic Mirror Ice Crystals - a dome of reflective mirrors the user travels between at blinding speed.

Wood (Mokuton)

Earth + Water
First Hokage (Hashirama), later Yamato. Generates living flora and can actively absorb or suppress Tailed Beast chakra. The bloodline that built a village and still defines what "impossible" used to mean.

Lava (Yoton)

Earth + Fire
Mei Terumi, Roshi (Four-Tails jinchuriki). Exhales acidic molten rock and superheated mud vectors. Terrain denial with a body count.

Boil (Fukuton)

Water + Fire
Mei Terumi. Creates corrosive, vaporizing steam clouds. If you can still breathe, you are already losing.

Magnet (Jiton)

Wind + Earth
Third Kazekage, Rasa (Fourth Kazekage). Manipulates iron sand or gold dust via electromagnetic fields. A desert that fights back on command.

Particle (Jinton)

Earth + Wind + Fire · Kekkei Tota
Onoki / Mu (Third / Second Tsuchikage). Combines three elements to atomize matter at a molecular level inside a glowing geometric field. Not a bloodline fusion - a bloodline extinction event aimed at one target.

Abilities vary by user

Unlike the base Sharingan, Mangekyo abilities are individual. Same eye lineage. Different god-tier toolkit. Every use still eats the user's vision until blindness - unless they steal a way around the tax.

Itachi Uchiha

Tsukuyomi + Amaterasu

Tsukuyomi: unbroken seventy-two-hour torture genjutsu executed in one second of real time. Amaterasu: black flames that burn for seven days and seven nights, consuming even regular fire. Susanoo sits on top of both when he stops pretending to hold back.

Sasuke Uchiha

Amaterasu + Kagutsuchi

Amaterasu in the left eye. Flame Control / Kagutsuchi in the right - shape-manipulating black flames into spikes, weapons, and defenses. Same fire as Itachi. Different architecture.

Kakashi / Obito

Kamui

Long-range spatial distortion and intangibility that slips the user's body - or a target - into another dimension. One eye, two users across time, the same warped door.

Why the Kage bans techniques

Kinjutsu are techniques banned by the Kage for extreme physical backlash to the caster, violation of natural laws, or massive collateral risk. Forbidden does not mean unused. It means the village pretends it does not want you to know who still uses them. The Eight Gates get their own section below - they earned the page space.

Multi-Shadow Clone Technique

A-Rank · Forbidden
Taju Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Unlike illusionary clones, Shadow Clones physically divide the user's total chakra pool equally among every clone. Creating a thousand clones instantly drains a normal ninja to death. The exception is Naruto Uzumaki - Uzumaki life force plus Nine-Tails reserves turn a suicidal forbidden technique into his baseline fighting style.

Reaper Death Seal

S-Rank · Ultimate Forbidden
Shiki Fujin. Summons the Shinigami. The caster trades their own soul to seal the target's soul inside the Death God's stomach for eternity. Historical impact: the Fourth Hokage (Minato) used it to seal the Nine-Tails; the Third (Hiruzen) used it to rip away Orochimaru's arms during the Leaf Invasion. The price is always the same. You do not walk away.

Hachimon Tonkou

Along the Chakra Pathway System are eight points that limit total chakra flow to prevent organ failure. Unlocking them grants godlike power at severe physical cost. This is not a bloodline. It is a decision to break the body's safety locks on purpose.

1. Gate of Opening (Kaimon)

Head

Removes brain limiters on the body's output. Unlocks Front Lotus (Omote Renge) - the first time the Gates stop being theory and start being a fight-ender.

2. Gate of Healing (Kyumon)

Head

Artificially forces bodily energy recovery to temporarily boost stamina. The body starts paying interest on power it has not earned yet.

3. Gate of Life (Seimon)

Spine

Skin turns red. Unlocks Reverse Lotus (Ura Renge) at high velocity. From here, every gate is a visible confession that something irreversible is happening.

4. Gate of Pain (Shomon)

Spine

Speed and power climb again. Muscle tissue begins to tear apart under the user's own output. The name is not poetry.

5. Gate of Limit (Tomon)

Abdomen

Pushes physical output past human capability. Bone fractures become common. "Limit" means you have already crossed it.

6. Gate of View (Keimon)

Stomach

Emits a green aura. Friction speed creates fire punches - Morning Peacock (Asa Kujaku). The air itself starts catching.

7. Gate of Wonder (Kyokumon)

Abdomen

Sweat evaporates into a blue aura instantly. Unlocks the concussive air-cannon strike Daytime Tiger (Hirudora) - a punch that hits with compressed atmosphere, not just a fist.

8. Gate of Death (Shimon)

Heart

Pushes blood until the body pumps red steam. Grants power exceeding the Five Kage combined - Night Guy. The user's body burns toward black ash on the clock. Opening it is a suicide technique by design. Guy proves the math and pays the bill.
