KASUMI TENDO

Akane's eldest sister. Manages the Tendo household with serene and unruffled competence while everything around her operates at maximum chaos. Always cooking, always pleasant, never visibly disturbed by anything the show produces in her immediate vicinity. Kasumi is the fixed point that makes the Tendo house feel like a home rather than a disaster zone. Whether her serenity reflects genuine contentment or something she has built very carefully and maintains with great effort is a question Ranma 1/2 raises quietly and never fully answers. The show is smarter about her than it appears to be.
