Hotaru Tomoe · Season S · The Guardian everyone fears awakening
Sailor Saturn is treated as a catastrophe before she is treated as a teammate. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto know her as the Guardian associated with destruction and believe her awakening could mean the end of the world.
Hotaru, however, is not a walking apocalypse waiting eagerly to happen. She is a sick, isolated girl caught inside the Death Busters' plan, and the final conflict forces the cast to separate the person from the terrifying role attached to her.
Why it matters
Saturn turns the Outer Guardians' logic back on them. If destroying one dangerous life can save the world, what happens when the life in question is a child Usagi and Chibiusa refuse to abandon?
