Profile

The 1997 DragonBall Z Manga in English page is a useful example of how fluid early fanscan credits could be. Joseph Teed maintained the site; Peter Michaud handled scanning and page editing; the header says Anime Crisis provided translations; yet the chapter table labels Peter Michaud as translator for chapters 289–296. Peter's later personal page, Pete's Translated Dragonball, links readers back to Joseph Teed for his other scans, posts completed chapters 297–302, offers text-only translations for 305–307, and says his own translation work was temporarily on hold while he translated a DBZ OVA for Chris Shepard. The Teed page also states that it existed because DBZ manga was not available in the US and that Viz publication made the project unnecessary.

Signature style

Joseph Teed maintained the 1997 DBZ manga page. The page says Peter Michaud scanned the manga and changed the text and broadly credits Anime Crisis with translations, while the chapter table itself credits Peter as translator for chapters 289–296. Peter's own later page proves that he also translated independently and published text-only translations.
