Blood+ lets grief alter the cast instead of resetting them after the catastrophe. The people who reunite are not the people who entered Red Shield headquarters.
Kai refuses Saya's plan to kill Diva's children and herself. He offers the same answer George once gave Saya: the children can be raised as family before anyone decides what their blood makes them.
Why it matters
Blood+ ends its century-long biological war with an ordinary human insisting that blood is not allowed to make every decision.
