Blood+ allows compassion and judgment to exist in the same room. Diva can be profoundly wronged and still become responsible for profound harm.
Diva's fixation on Saya, her interest in Riku and the tenderness she shows toward her own unborn children all circle the same absence in different and often horrific ways.

The show never turns Diva into a secret version of Saya. It does let the audience see how much of her violence grows around something Saya received before either sister understood its value: family.
Diva's daughters survive the war and Kai chooses to raise them rather than treat them as enemies waiting to happen.
What changed
The next generation begins with family instead of imprisonment. The story cannot undo Diva's childhood, but it can refuse to repeat it.

Calling them Diva's Chevaliers explains the blood relationship. It does not explain the people inside it.

Solomon begins as one of Diva's Chevaliers and one of the Goldsmith brothers sustaining her side of the war.
His feelings for Saya gradually put him in conflict with the role his bloodline assigned him. He does not become simple, and he does not stop being what Diva made him. He chooses to act against that inheritance anyway.

Solomon is the clearest proof that a Chevalier can be bound by blood without being reduced to blood.
Amshel is Diva's oldest and most politically effective Chevalier. His loyalty becomes institutions: companies, laboratories, alliances and plans built to survive ordinary human lifetimes.

Amshel shows what a Chevalier bond can become when devotion is given money, time and no meaningful outside limit.

Saya's amnesia makes the modern awakening different. She does not return carrying a clean century of memory. Other people have to tell her what her own life used to mean.
Diva's singing is more than an identifying trait. Cinq Flèches research turns the voice into part of the Synchronicity effect used to activate Delta 67 in exposed populations.
Why it matters
The final plan combines something intensely personal to Diva with industrial-scale research. Her voice becomes the bridge between one individual Queen and a global transformation event.
Saya enters the final confrontation expecting the old blood rule to work in both directions.
