Sasori of the Red Sand is a missing-nin from Sunagakure who took puppet mastery further than anyone around him wanted to imagine. He turns human corpses into puppets that retain their original techniques, including the Third Kazekage, and eventually converts most of his own body into a puppet as well. Sasori believes true art should last forever, placing him in constant philosophical conflict with Deidara's love of a single explosive moment. His fight with Sakura and Chiyo exposes the lonely child underneath that obsession. Chiyo uses the mother and father puppets Sasori once built to deliver the final strike, and she realizes he could have avoided it. For one instant, the man who made himself into an object seems to choose the embrace he lost as a child.

Sasori believes art should endure. Deidara believes art exists in the instant it disappears. Their argument is not background decoration; it tells you how differently two Akatsuki members can see the world while still functioning as a field team. Sasori brings patience, poison, puppetry and intelligence networks. Deidara brings speed, aerial range and demolition.
Why it worked
They do not need to agree on art, morality or much of anything else. Their abilities cover different distances and different kinds of targets, while both are disciplined enough to keep the mission moving.

The Breakdown
Sasori easily countered every strike, revealing he was the original creator of all three puppets. Sasori disarmed Kankurō in seconds and poisoned him with a lethal, slow-acting neurotoxin, leaving him to die in the sand.

The Breakdown
Sakura deployed a custom antidote to survive Sasori's toxic gas. Sasori ultimately allowed his parents' puppet bodies to pierce his core, leaving behind vital intel regarding Orochimaru's spy network.
